The ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional CCSP Training Course is designed for security professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge of cloud security. The program covers various aspects of data security, cloud infrastructure security, and information security. Through this training, participants will learn how to secure data centers, cloud environments, and cloud-based data access. The focus will be on cloud security solutions and techniques for detecting and responding to security incidents.

  • CCSP is most appropriate for those whose day-to-day responsibilities involve procuring, securing and managing cloud environments or purchased cloud services. In other words, CCSPs are heavily involved with the cloud. Many CCSPs will be responsible for cloud security architecture, design, operations, and/or service orchestration.

What are the prerequisites?

There are no prerequisites for attending the CCSP training or attempting the certification exam. What does the CCSP exam cover?
The CCSP certification exam covers the following six domains, along with their respective weights:
Domain 1. Cloud Concepts, Architecture and Design 17%
Domain 2. Cloud Data Security 20%
Domain 3. Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Security 17%
Domain 4. Cloud Application Security 17%
Domain 5. Cloud Security Operations 16%
Domain 6. Legal, Risk and Compliance 13%
When will I receive my examination result?
Certification candidates will be able to view their preliminary results immediately after completing their examination. Official scores will be communicated within 10 working days.
What are the certification prerequisites?
Candidates must have a minimum of five years cumulative paid work experience in information technology, of which three years must be in information security and one year in one or more of the six domains of the CCSP CBK. Earning CSA’s CCSK certificate can be substituted for one year of experience in one or more of the six domains of the CCSP CBK. Earning the CISSP credential can be substituted for the entire CCSP experience requirement. A candidate that doesn’t have the required experience to become a CCSP may become an Associate of ISC2 by successfully passing the CCSP examination. The Associate of ISC2 will then have six years to earn the five years required experience.
When will my certificate expire?
ISC2 CCSP certification is valid for only three years. You will need to renew your certification before that to maintain it.
How can I maintain my certification?
Certified CCSP® professionals will need to do the following to maintain their certification:
Earn and report a suggested 30 CPE (Continuing Professional Education) hours every year, starting from the year after they were certified
Earn and report a minimum of 90 CPE hours over the span of three years.
Pay the annual maintenance fee.
Comply with the CPE audit if selected.
